Colour contrast

Every text colour on the site meets the WCAG 2.2 AA threshold (4.5:1 for normal text) in both light and dark themes. These figures are measured, not estimated: the palette is run through an automated audit and no tone below the threshold is used.

Even the lowest-emphasis text — byline rows, section labels — meets that threshold.

Nothing that distracts

The site uses no imagery that carries no information. Article covers are geometric patterns derived from the article's own address; there are no stock photos, no staged images, and no AI-generated illustrations standing in for reality.

There is no autoplaying video or audio. Nothing blinks, slides, or flashes. No pop-up, countdown, or full-screen advertisement interrupts reading.

Motion happens only as the result of your own interaction, and it is brief.

Structure and keyboard

Each page has a single main heading and an ordered heading hierarchy, so screen readers can navigate by heading.

Every interactive element works from the keyboard. Dropdown menus are navigable with arrow keys and close with Escape. The focus ring is never hidden.

Images that convey meaning have text alternatives; decorative patterns are hidden from screen readers so they are not read out pointlessly.

Reading aids

Every article opens with a bulleted summary.

Articles can be listened to; this uses your browser's own speech synthesis and connects to no external service.

A dark theme is available and follows your system preference automatically.

Body text is held to a measured line length; long lines make the eye lose its place.

What is not yet provided

To be honest: the site has not been through an independent accessibility audit, and no extensive screen-reader user testing has been done. The claims above are the measurable ones; we make no claim about what we have not measured.
